Over 600,000 people are homeless each night in the United States.  In Lake County, women and children constitute the majority of the homeless population.  YOU can help by providing resources that help people heal and leave homelessness behind.  Please make a donation via our secure webpage today.  Another way to help is to donate grocery store gift cards to our program.  If you have other questions on how to help, please contact Executive Director Laura Sabino at director@lakecountyhaven.org.  Your gifts will make a difference to many local women and children.  On behalf of them: thank you!

Be a part of the conversation!  Our Kitchen Conversations series has started.  Kitchen Conversations are small gatherings at our shelter in Libertyville.  Learn about homelessness: what causes it and what can end it.  Then, sit with us around the kitchen table as we discuss pressing issues affecting local homeless women and children.  Join the discussion of how to end homelessness in our lifetime.  This 1-hour event is free and open to anyone who is concerned about homelessness.   Out next Kitchen Conversation is Saturday, July 19th at 1pm.  To reserve your seat at the table, contact our Outreach Coordinator, Kate Ceithaml, at (847) 680-1901 or kate@lakecountyhaven.org. Download an informational flyer about the Kitchen Conversations program by clicking here.
